This refurbishment project recently completed by the TCRC Team was at Fusion Point 2, a Grade A office building situated in the newly formed Cardiff Central Enterprise Zone. Here the specification called for a flame-free, liquid waterproofing solution and Garland UK’s Dura-Walk PMMA System was ultimately selected.
As part of this project, a special electric heat gun supplied by Imperial Thermal Engineering was utilised to aid with the natural drying process of the roof surface. This enabled valuable time to be saved with the installation of the new the new liquid waterproofing system, ultimately meaning that the challenging 10 week programme could remain on track for the Client.
Health and safety was a key priority on this project, hence the requirement for a cold-applied system that required no naked flames during installation. Consideration was also shown at all times to ensure minimal disruption to the occupants of the building.
The 2,000m2 installation was completed to a very high standard by TCRC’s trained and experienced Operatives, with all works inspected and signed off by the manufacturer’s technical team.
